In January, the company announced an 18-karat gold plated PS5 with an alligator-leather wrapped controller as the Golden Rock edition. The company recently revealed the price of the same, which is a whopping $499,999, which comes to around 3 crores in INR. Caviar stated that the Golden Rock is “made in the original jewelry technique, which adds volume and texture to the model.” It further mentioned, “The inspiration for the designers was the unique geometry of the gold ore and the graceful, beautiful outlines of the rock. That is why the console was named Golden Rock.”

It has been revealed that making one console will take around four months. Due to its exclusivity, only 9 of these Golden Rock limited editions will be sold out to very-lucky-very-rich persons.

Moreover, the DualSense controllers will be made of real black painted crocodile leather, which adds more to its opulence. Caviar said the company had received around 1500 applications for the gold-clad PS5; however, the company will make only 9 of these bling babies. “Since December 28, the company has received 1,342 applications for the new product. Among those who showed interest in Golden Rock was the famous basketball player LeBron James. The company also received inquiries from a well-known Russian businessman living outside Russia and an equally famous American businessman in the IT field, whose names are not to be disclosed.” stated the company in a release.

So, if you are interested in owning a PlayStation that will probably cost you an arm and a leg, head to the Caviar website and be one of the 9 lucky ones.
